Terms of service agreement (“Terms of Service”, “Agreement”)
Following text describes main rules that should be followed on this or any other site owned by ExplainMe team (thereafter “Site”). ExplainMe team consists of founders of ExplainMe project and other people whom founders delegated the right to act on founders’ behalf. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to modify these Terms of Service at any time. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this Agreement, do not use the Site.

Thank you for using ExplainMe!
ExplainMe is an online educational platform that allows people to improve their knowledge in a chosen field (the "Services"), which Services are accessible at www.explainme.co and any other websites through which ExplainMe makes the Services available (collectively, the "Site") and as applications for mobile, tablet and other smart devices and application program interfaces (collectively, the "Application"). These Terms describe main rules that should be followed while using either Site or Application.
By using ExplainMe its users may learn new material or repeat an already know one by answering short multiple-choice like questions. Each question is provided with short description explaining the correct answer. Questions are combined into courses. We provide the questions in an adaptive manner so that we may provide you with the best learning experience.
ExplainMe team consists of founders of ExplainMe project and other people whom founders delegated the right to act on founders’ behalf. ExplainMe team reserves the right, at our discretion, to modify these Terms of Service at any time. If you do not agree to these Terms, you have no right to obtain information from or otherwise continue using the Site, Application or Services.

We take the private nature of your personal information very seriously, and are committed to protecting it. To do that, we’ve set up procedures to ensure that your private information is handled responsibly and in accordance with best data protection practises. As private we treat any information whose disclosure to third parties may harm its owner. Any other information voluntarily provided by you on the Site is considered to be public and may be used by ExplainMe team for any purposes as stated in our Content policy. Public information includes, but is not limited to, users' account details, their answers to questions, comments etc. Please be advised that we are using a third-party payment processor to facilitate your payments in order to provide you with the bst level of security and to comply with world's best practices.
By using our service you agree that any content that is created by you on the Site (including questions, comments, and any other information) is a property of ExplainMe team and may be used for any purpose (including commercial) on their discretion without your permission. Without prior written consent from ExplainMe team, you may not download, copy or store any content obtained from the Site in any form and you may not modify, publish, transmit, participate in the transfer or sale of, reproduce, create derivative works based on, distribute, or perform any content taken from the Site. You agree to comply with reasonable written requests from us to help us in protecting our proprietary and intellectual property rights. All intellectual property rights in ExplainMe are, as between you and Site, the sole and exclusive property of ExplainMe team. We reserve the right to immediately suspend, without notice, any content, account, or IP address which we determine to be submitting spam or other potentially damaging or disruptive content to the Site. When your account is suspended, public access to content contributed under that account will remain, and your account may be suspended or deleted at our discretion. Access to other functionality or information within the Site may also be blocked or disabled. Using copyrighted material does not constitute infringement in all cases. But users should be careful when using copyrighted content without the permission of those who created it.
Site allows you to post or submit content and materials for publication on it. You own any intellectual property rights to Your Content, but you agree that we can use, reproduce, modify, adapt and publish Your Content. You agree that we may send communications to your email address for customer service, confirmations, newsletters, product offers and other matters. We appreciate when you provide us feedback through customer service or by email or social features, but we may use any feedback, comments, or suggestions without any obligations to you.
In order to maintain high quality of our content and to constantly improve our product we have introduced paid subscriptions. They may vary in their duration and in questions they unlock access to, but following policies apply to all of them:
1. Overview of Subscription Plans and Payments
We offer several different types of individual subscriptions. Specific pricing terms applicable to your account may vary depending on promotions, the type of subscription and the term you select at the time of purchase (e.g., monthly, yearly, etc). All of our subscription plans renew automatically, as described in more details below. If you have questions regarding your plan following your purchase, please refer to your Account page and the confirmation email sent to you after your purchase.
All our subscription plans (both mobile and online) are billed in one payment for the whole term. It means that if, for example, you purchase a monthly subscription, you will be charged for the full month’s payment each month.
Please be advised that we are using a third-party payment processor to facilitate your payments.
2. Refund Policy
All our subscriptions except for the monthly one offer a 10 day money back guarantee. You may request a refund by contacting us at [email protected] within 10 days of your purchase. You have to provide a valid reason for your refund request to be approved. In case your refund request is approved by ExplainMe team, you will be refunded the amount of your subscription with the one month subscription price deduction.
Please note that if you purchase a subscription through the iOS / Android application, the sale is final, and we will not provide a refund. Such your purchase will be subject to specific platform's (Apple or Google) applicable payment policy, which also may not provide for refunds.
All our subscriptions renew automatically using your account's payment details. You may cancel your subscription at any time before the day you subscription should renew through your Account page or by contacting us at [email protected]
4. Pricing Change Policy
Our subscriptions as well as their prices may change at any time in the future.
If the pricing for your subscription does change, we will notify you, and provide you with an opportunity to change your subscription, before applying those changes to your account or charging your payment details in connection with an automatic renewal.
All the subscriptions active at the moment of changes introduction remain valid until the beginning of the new renewal period.
5. Payment Information
By providing payment information to us, you confirm that the payment information is valid.
If you provide someone else’s payment information, you agree that we may refund payment to that person if they so request and if the account is eligible for a refund under this Payment Policy. This may cause interruption to or termination of your ExplainMe service.
